List of Walks in Bath

Across the River Walk

This walk takes across the river from the main city of Bath to an area known as Bathwick. It was originally meant to be a Georgian new town but money became scarce and many projects were never completed. However, there is still much to see and experience in this part of Bath such as the beautiful Pulteney Bridge, Great Pulteney Street, Sydney and Henrietta Gardens, the Bath home of the famous writer Jane Austen, as well as a visit to the Kennett and Avon Canal . It is time well spent slightly out of the main city in a beautiful area and would be a great addition to your list of “things to do in Bath” enjoying and experiencing what life was like across the river. Happy sightseeing.

Georgian Bath Walk

In the 18th Century when the population of Bath burst of its its medieval walls the Georgians built some architectural delights that have become synonymous with Bath. These include the beautiful Royal Crescent and the Circus. Not to mention Queens Square, and the Assembly Rooms which houses the fashion museum. Around them are many stories to tell of the buildings and the people that lived here as we guide you around them one by one. This is the Bath that Jane Austen and Beau Nash knew very well and where taking pleasure in the company of others became an art form. We also take you to two experiences that should be on your list of “things to do in Bath”. The Jane Austen Centre which gives you a deeper insight into her life and works and the Mary Shelley House of Frankenstein which is not for the feint hearted. Happy sightseeing.
