Waxy O’Connors was once one of the city’s top indie music venues, and it was owned by Primal Scream legend Bobby Gillespie. It is one of the most popular Irish pubs in Glasgow. The Maltman
The Maltman is a traditional Victorian Pub that has become loved by patrons of all ages. It has a reputation of being one of the finest venues in Glasgow. It is located on the ground floor of Castle Chamber, a magnificent Victorian red sandstone building. The Drum & Monkey
The Drum and Monkey is a large grand pub, built in 1924. It was formerly a bank building. It follows an American theme, and has a spacious interior, with wood panelling, marble columns, and ornate corniced ceilings. The name is said to have come from travelling showmen, who toured the country with performing monkeys, who would often perform to the beat of a drum. Find out more on our tour.
The Horseshoe Bar
The Horseshoe Bar has been in continuous service for over 170 years. It claims to be the longest running bar in Britain. The pub is actually shaped like a horse shoe. On its walls it has the gold and platinum discs of the band Travis, which were donated by the band. The ambiance is that of an old Victorian pub, with dark wood and ornate cornices, and antique tile flooring. Find out more on our tour

The Smokin Fox
The bar has a very distinctive look and feel, with floor to ceiling windows, tweed and leather seats, and it has a beautiful looking bar. Bier Halle
The Bier Halle has been open since 1999, and has become a Glasgow favourite. It is a contemporary beer hall, with both Czech and German influences. Like the pub in the comedy Cheers, you have to go down some stairs to access it. The Innis & Gunn
The Innis & Gunn is a brewery owned pub, that opened its doors in 2022. Innis & Gunn are an award-winning brewer, based in Edinburgh. Their beer is exported to over 35 countries. In 2001 they became the first Scottish brewer ever to win the Champion Beer of Britain award. Their “Original” beer was their first success. It was a beer which, as an experiment, was matured in the best possible whisky casks, and it turned out to be incredible, intriguing, and full of flavour. Find out more on our tour.
The Piper Whisky Bar has over 180 Whisky brands to choose from, with at least one from every distillery in Scotland. After choosing one of them, you can enjoy it in traditional and cosy surroundings, whilst enjoying live music every night of the week, from local musicians and bands.
